The days I can’t figure out what to wear, I just throw on a cape. It’s a no brainer. I don’t have to think about what I wear underneath and yet it still looks darn chic. It’s indeed a chic piece every wardrobe needs. Paring it with over the knee boots is one of my favorite ways to wear it. Another great way to wear it is with skinny jeans and Chelsea boots. This past NYFW I saw a few designers like Celine, Thakoon and MSGM etc. all with floral designs on their runway. Floral is one of the biggest trends for Spring 2015. The prints are bigger and bolder than ever. Of course you can wear a skirt to make the look romantic and feminine. However, I chose to wear ripped jeans with the floral top to create a cool look. I love a bright and contrasting color floral print. It feels so spring and beautiful like this floral shirt from Doll Memories. These photos were taken last weekend in San Francisco. It was raining that day, but in San Francisco I already started to smell spring right around the corner :)

The jumpsuit is another ultimate chic piece like the cape. This is an outfit I wore on a night out with some friends when I was in San Francisco. It's so easy to put on and there’s no need to think about what to wear with it. I love that it’s so easy because I'm just lazy some days:P (Sorry for wearing the gold Lim bag with almost every single outfit in San Francisco. Hahaha I had to limit the items I brought on my SF and NC trip, but it is such a versatile bag and I proved that by wearing it with almost every single outfit, right?). There are so many types of jumpsuits and everyone can find their own ideal jumpsuit. You really can't go wrong with such a classy piece. I have another silky black jumpsuit with wide leg pants and a loose fit style. So I knew I wanted a slim fit jumpsuit this time. The ruffles with the off shoulder style totally caught my eye and I'm so obsessed with it. A few great occasions like weddings or Valentine's Day will make you standout in your jumpsuit. Most people will wear a dress to a friend's wedding,but nowadays there is no rule that you have to wear a dress to a wedding. The jumpsuit is so chic and pretty. The ruffles add so much femininity and romance to your outfit. If you are looking for something for the upcoming Valentine's Day, in my opinion it'd indeed be a great option.

Do you girls remember the multiple ways to wear the oversized turtleneck sweater post? This turtleneck sweater is still one of my favorite purchases this season. It sold out quickly, but now has been fully restocked. The new way to wear the turtleneck is to tuck the front of sweater inside the mini skirt. The oversized look and mini skirt combo will make you look skinny and visually elongate your legs :P How cute is this black and white mini skirt from Tobi? I received this Lava mini pashli last Friday when I got back from my trip and I'm madly in love with it. A little bit late since the classic mini pashli has been out for so long and with so many other eye-catching bags distracting me, but in any case I finally put my hands on it. Now I finally know why it's such a popular bag, the bag is just so adorable. And the price actually increased again in 2014, which made me feel as if it was well worth the little investment :P I have to say that the mini pashli is still the most classic Lim bag. I completed the outfit with the simple Jessi ear jacket in rose gold from Kendra Scott's new spring collection. These simple pretty little earrings are just tres chic. They are really popular these days. When I'm not in the mood for statement earrings, these are earrings that I could live in :P
We survived Juno for anyone of you that live in the Northeast, loves. It wasn't as big/bad as we expected, but at least I got to work from home and maybe some of you got one day off? Despite the cold weather during the winter, the date night needs to still go on. Even, though, it's freezing in New York City these days, I feel that I still need to get out everyday to get some fresh air and go on date nights with Mr. SF to enjoy some quality time of our own. I wore this outfit last weekend on our date night. The mesh detail of the skirt is really pretty and the floral on the mesh just adds so much femininity to the skirt. Skirts always have the power to make me feel special and girly. Compared to other skirts, it's also thicker, which is definitely better for the winter. I strongly recommend that you girls check out this skirt if you are looking for something pretty to wear for winter date nights or Valentine's day, which is quickly approaching. The pop of pink bag makes the whole look more fun and mini bags are really popular these days.

Do you girls remember that I asked you to try some new colors like burgundy in a previous post of mine? Ever since that post, I’ve become extremely fond of burgundy pieces. Today, I'm wearing a burgundy cable knit sweater with zippers on both sides. I know you won’t believe me, but the sweater is only $21! Incredible, right? I'm trying a new combination today, burgundy cable knit with moto skinny jeans. I absolutely adore this combination. The textured strips along the knee are my favorite part about this pair. The ultimate winter layering is to wear the shirt over the winter sweater instead of the other way around. So the right sequence from inside out is sweater, shirt and then your coat. It's really the best way to stay warm and yet still not look too puffy. To make this look more stylish, the belt and scarf are the two most important accessories. The belt gives the look a better shape. And the scarf makes the outfit appear cooler and keeps your neck warm in the winter. This Saturday is Valentine's Day, loves! Mr. SF and I are going to celebrate a little bit. We’ll start off with dinner of course and then see where the night takes us. Today, I'm showing you girls my V-Day dress. If you still haven't figured out what to wear, you really have to decide today so that you can get your dress on time. I went through so many dresses for V-Day dress shopping as there are so many pretty dresses. Red and pink are both great color options. Some of you left comments telling me how much you really love my birthday dress. FYI - it's still available in most sizes. It's so elegant and I think it's a great option for V-Day. This Valentine’s Day I think I'm gonna go with this little white dress. The details are just breathtaking and the asymmetrical hem makes the dress stand out. It makes me feel incredible :P Besides the V-Day dress, red lipstick, accessories and perfume will complete your outfit and make it perfect.

Accessories can always change a look. One of my favorite pieces this winter has to be the oversized scarf. Do you girls remember my previous post about how to wear an oversized scarf three different ways? It was a versatile oversized plaid scarf. Today, I'm wearing this color blocked scarf another way, where I wrap it in front and pin it on the side. I wore it over my sweater and leather jacket. It indeed adds lots of warmth for a winter here in New York. Also, I adore the multiple colors so much. And just like the plaid scarf, there are so many ways to rock it :P

Happy Happy Friday to my loves! This is the dress I wore to a friend's wedding during my San Francisco trip last month. I'm obsessed with the blue print and the cutout. Besides my friend's wedding, I also wore it during a night out with friends and a date night with Mr. SF. It’s really an incredibly versatile dress. I can't believe tomorrow is Valentine's Day already, I’m super excited. Also, since the hottest event, New York Fashion Week, is currently happening, I'm planning to go to some parties/shows this evening to kick off my NYFW this season. You girls probably saw this new stripe sweater on my Instagram over the weekend. Yes, I'm so obsessed with the sweater and it's definitely one of my favorite buys recently. What's cozier than a fuzzy sweater for this season’s weather? It's so soft and I love the feel of it. You girls know how much I adore oversized turtleneck sweaters. A skirt or pants are both great items to pair with this sweater. I've been wearing a lot of different accessories lately. They are a big part of my wardrobe, especially these pretty little rings. These big pearl rings are one set of 5 pearl rings selling for $20. I normally don't wear them together, I just wear some of them with other rings to create different combinations. I've been living in this color blocked pull over from Few Moda for a while now. It's warm, stylish and comfy for this snowy winter wonderland NYC. There is a cute little zipper on my left shoulder. I particularly like this kind of detail. Creating an outfit for this sweater was a no brainer. I felt that it went well with any type of pants: slim fit, loose fit, blue denim or black ripped jeans. Do you girls notice anything different today? Haha it's the lips. I'm using the new Velvet Matte lip pencil in color Cruella - scarlet red from Nars for the very first time. Normally, I wear a lot of red and orange colors. This deep red definitely makes me feel wicked and like a bad ass babe. It's magical and I love the experience of trying new lip colors. I think from now on I will even try some bolder colors, which I've never tried before. I wore these leather pants beneath the dress the other day to a dinner with Mr. SF and some of his friends because it's still kinda chilly and more importantly it's a great layering style. The Harlie statement necklace in white iridescent opaque glass is a very long necklace, but since it's such a versatile and beautiful piece I decided to flip the necklace and wore it shorter. You actually can adjust the hook and wear it any length you want. Even the back of the necklace is incredibly pretty! I will show you girls how the front looks in the future. Irresistible Spring! I can't wait for you already :)

As a lot of you know, most of the time I style my own hair at home instead of going to salons for a number of styles like curly hair, straight hair or a pony tail etc. It saves me the travel and wait time and also saves me lots of money in the long run. Plus it’s not difficult and I really enjoy it. I encourage you girls to try to style your own hair when you’re also getting ready at home :P With the right product, you can definitely do it. Some of you have requested this curly hair look for a while now and today I’m breaking down how to easily create this look via three easy steps.
Step one: Split your hair in half. Start with the left half. Work from bottom to top with three layers. You can really have as many layers as you want. The more layers you have, the curlier your hair will look. I normally separate them into three layers. Clip the rest of your hair when you curl from bottom to top. Alternate each portion with about 1 inch of hair curling toward your face and then away from your face. This is to ensure that the curls look more natural. Let the hair stay on the curling iron for 6 to 12 seconds depending on your hair. Step two: Make sure you split your hair right where you want to. Curl the right side of your hair from bottom to top. I normally don’t curl the top portion of my hair. Step three: Pull all your hair to one side. Spray your hair all over with Suave Professionals® Luxe Style Infusion Volumizing Plump Hold Hairspray. Ta da, all finished. It’s that easy.
Normally my curls don’t last a very long time and they get loose as time passes. If you want to maintain the pretty curls, you have to use hairspray to hold the volume. It’s very crucial to have this final finishing step to make sure the look lasts the whole day for different occasions and to give your hair an extra hold. I like hairspray that doesn’t make my hair stiff and sticky, so that I can still brush through it. Curly hair looks more natural after you brush through it. Love the vibrant and bouncy feel of it.
