One of the most exciting things happening in April is festival style. I’m a huge believer in experimenting and getting more creative with your personal style. It’s an expression of how you feel without saying anything.
You girls know that
Target is known for designer collaborations, from 3.1 Phillip Lim to Lilly Pulitzer. Remember I also reviewed Target’s beauty box last summer? There are always new things with the freshest trends at affordable prices popping up at Target every season. This season, Target added lots of new festival styles, from dark moody to bright and bold. You girls can definitely find something you like to elevate your personal style and update your spring wardrobe. :P
Today, I’m so excited to share with you girls these two different festival looks I created with the new pieces I picked up from Target.
First Look: Festival Gone Moody
I’m obsessed with the lace-up detail and the bell sleeve of the Mossimo romper. I layered an Xhilaration push-up bikini top underneath my Mossimo romper. Both items are super cool and affordable. This look adds more of a rock-n-roll feel to traditional boho festival looks. You girls can also layer different pieces to create a goth-chic festival look. I completed this look with black ankle booties, festival-style earrings and fringe clutches. I would totally rock this look at music festivals.
Second Look: Festival Gone Decorated
Dress: Xhilaration (similar
here)
If you love colors and prints, then the second look is for you. I layered a Mossimo cut-out halter one-piece swimsuit underneath my Xhilaration dress. The swimsuit and my dress have pretty and very different prints, yet it’s still so fun to layer them together. It’s all about experimenting, and you will find certain things go surprisingly well together more so than you would have thought. :P BTW, there are also many other cool prints available. It’s a great look that you can just stay at home or travel somewhere in.
For these two looks, you girls can also swap the swimwear underneath. They will go with the dress and rompers very well too. Besides what I have picked, Xhilaration and Mossimo have a wide-ranging selection of different festival pieces with laser-cut, macramé and pastel colors.
This is my version of Festival Gone Moody and Festival Gone Decorated looks. Are you girls now excited to create your own festival styles at Target? Share these with your girlfriends and see how you would create your own very different festival styles, no matter if it’s dark or bright. You girls can even trade or exchange pieces from each other’s wardrobes to try different looks. Let me know what you end up creating, and don’t forget to share these looks using the hashtag #TargetStyle. : )
