I still remember the first time I took a cable car ride in San Francisco. I was so amazed by how strong the conductors were. They could navigate the car up and down the hills all with their arms. The San Francisco cable car is the world's last manually operated cable car system.
It's so fun to sit or stand on the outer part of the cable car, while feeling the wind blow through your hair as the car goes up and down the hills of San Francisco. Even though cable car rides are mostly for tourists, I still appreciate them so much. The city has done a fantastic job preserving its history keeping such a beautiful tradition alive.
